I signed up for Dish service after hearing that my bill could be way lower then what I was paying with my cable provider. Only two weeks in I am ready to diconnect it because of the poor customer service I have been receiving. When I signed up I was asked what channels i liked. After listing them I was told they are all included in my package. I was also told that I would be given A standard receiver and that the only difference between the standard and the HD receiver is the mega pixels in the picture. Only I found out after installation that most of the channels that I listed cannot be viewed with the standard receiver. When I was told by the third customer service rep from dish this information they made it worse by saying I could have the HD one for $400! I was not told this when I signed up. In addition to that I was told at my time of signup that I could connect the receiver to my internet connection wirelessly so I can access my OnDemand, however after installation I later found out that the wireless adapter that is provided by Dish Network is not compatible with my standard receiver (even though one of the many reps I spoke to said it was). My modem for my internet is in my kitchen so there is no way to run a cord (phone line or ethernet) through the middle of my kitchen. I have been calling Dish Networks escalations team to resolve this, however I have not been contacted back even though I leave multiple messages. I am extremely unsatisfied with how I have been treated by Dish and to top it all off im binded by a contract! There needs to be better training in place for the staff so there is a group consensus on how this business should be ran and the policies alike. I was signed up for this service under false pretenses and had I known this is how it would be I would have stayed with my cable provider and paid more. At least I would have what I was promised and paid for
